I like your site very much. Would you please tell me if there are any qualified instructors of the Wu (Hao) Style here in the Los Angeles area? If there is/are, who are they and what are their phone number/s? There is a school in Santa Monica run by a Daniel Yu Wang who claims to be a master of all major tai chi styles, including the Wu (Hao) system. Know of him? Thank you.

I've been interested in tai chi for over twenty years. I wish I could say that my skills reflect the time I've spent. I was never able to perform the Chen style, just not physically up to it. I have learned the Long Yang form from Yang Zhen Duo as well as the sword and sabre forms and have tried to copy the same forms in the Wu Chian Chuan style, but the subtlety of the Wu Hao form has intrigue me for some time.although I live very far from the west coast, I hope to some day spend some time studying with Master Liu. I was glad to see his web site so that I can follow some of the info about Wu style. I would be very interested in seeing Master Liu's book and video when they appear.

Just touching base with you. I hope you received the pinyin translations of the form, I sent a few weeks ago. If you didn't I will email them again. Also I am in the process of building a few web pages on different sites. Would you like me to link my sites to yours. If like, I could add pictures from your site, to help promote Master Liu - I would only do this with your permission. Also could you let Master Liu know that I have passed on his new address to my teacher-Master Sun Dafa. Sorry, it took a number of months, but he was in Shanghai, and I was not able to reach him until recently.

I am not sure sifu Liu's Fai Jin is a reality. Could he kindly explain what is internal energy? How internal energy is being released from a human body? Can everybody achieve that, or only sifu Liu can. How much time will take a man to get this technique?? I'm strongely in belief that tai chi acts in a way of physics. It is a shame if we show people that tai chi is inexplicible. Zuzhijian in Guelph, Ontario, Canada

[Ed. 1. Please see our FAQ. Most people with reasonable exposure to (true) tai chi will have witnessed fa jin as an integral part of this martial art. It takes a few years to master typically. 2. We're using the term "internal energy" as a loose translation of the Chinese 'jin', and by no means do we imply that there's anything mythical that's going on here. Common sense would suggest that all this follows the natural laws of physics. We're not aware of a detailed analysis of the intricate mechanisms (of the human body) that act together to achieve fa jin. This would be an interesting exercise for you physicists out there:-).]

if you've a dist list on updates to your site, wld be great if you can keep me posted. thks/yen

Hi! I practice the 'Hao' style here in Stockholm, Sweden. I would be interested to know when Master Liu Jishun's book is due out - if a specified date has been set yet. I have found a video of Master Hao Shao Ru performing the 96 movement form, which I find immensely inspiring. It would be good to keep in touch with anyone who is interested in the Wu/Hao style since it isn't too well known in many parts of the world. I would also like to recommend Douglas Wile's incredible book: 'LOst tai chi classics', which supports the notion that the classics were based upon the Wu/Hao style.
